There are 12 fish in a tank. Half of them swim behind a big rock where nobody can see them. How many fish are in the tank now?

Six of them are hidden, but hiding behind a rock does not take a fish out of the tank. Read the question again: it asks how many are IN the tank, not how many you can see.
